Dr. Kingshuk Sarkar is a Professor and Area Chair of General Management & Economics at the Goa Institute of Management, with over two decades of experience as a Labour Administrator in the Government of West Bengal. He holds a PhD in Economics from Jawaharlal Nehru University, along with an M.A. in Economics from the University of Calcutta and an M.Phil. from Jadavpur University. His core expertise lies in labour economics, with research interests spanning plantation economics, industrial relations, law and economics, labour administration, and the informal labour sector. Dr. Sarkar has also served as Fellow at the V.V. Giri National Labour Institute, Assistant Professor at the National Institute of Rural Development, and Guest Faculty at Jamia Millia Islamia.He has contributed widely in reputed journals and newspapers. Further,  he has also participated in numerous research projects, conferences, and seminars in India and abroad, and has represented India at global forums.
